Summary
Direct project teams (including external partners) and maintain control of progress, quality, and budget to meet the desired business objectives. Set up and run all project-related meetings and maintain the record of actions, decisions, issues, and risks, acting as the primary point of contact for all project-related escalations.
Ensure a smooth transition to operations and the optimal planning and execution of all activities associated with a release. Manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders in the organization by effectively displaying excellence in soft skills.
Execute innovative, impactful, cost-effective, and measurable programs, tightly aligned to business objectives.
About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of internal and outsourced projects from project initiation to transition to operations. Monitor and control project execution, establish project governance, manage risks and issues.
- Ensure effective use of resources and project management methods, tools, and practices.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget to meet the desired business objectives.
- Alternatively, may support the provision of services that contribute to managing the enterprise IT project portfolio, including the development and implementation of project management standards and training, portfolio reporting and analytics, project management resourcing services, etc.
- Provide transparent and accurate project reporting, including overall performance of the project and project documentation completion.
- Own project status, issues, and risks through appropriate channels/tools, ensuring they are reported back to agreed project governance (e.g., Steering Committee) with a focus on required actions, ownership, and risk management.
- Ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures within the Project Management service scope.
- Collaborate effectively with other teams, DDIT Functions, and Domains in the organization, as well as strategic suppliers providing services to the project.
- Expertise in supporting the Head of Business & Operations in creating the strategic plan and then driving the same towards implementation.
Essential Requirements:
- Certification in PMP, Agile/Scrum, or PRINCE 2 is preferred.
- Prior experience in delivering GxP solutions within GDD Clinical IT landscape.
- Knowledge of clinical development operations systems, processes, and tools is desirable.
- Ability to work and collaborate in matrixed teams to deliver projects with interdependencies like integration components.
- Experience using various project management methodologies, including Agile.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Capability to help the Program lead/portfolio lead structure, plan, estimate, deliver, deploy, and operate the project as required.
- 15 years of experience in Project Management.
- Ideally, this would include experience in regulated environments because of the high impact of quality and controls in the pharmaceutical industry. This could include non-Life Sciences work.
Education & Qualifications:
- University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, business, or similar OR relevant experience.
