Souhrn

Define and evolve the enterprise architecture for Medical and Market Access business/technical domains standards and patterns. Ensure the right IT investments are made from an architecture perspective in the Medical and Market Access Domain. Guide design of domain architecture that adequately responds to a given business/technical problems. The Domain Architect will contribute to our mission by taking responsibility and leading the overall standards and direction for the architecture in the Medical and Market Access domain. They will collaborate with other Architects and communicate the architecture of the given domain and/or the development of architectural solutions for projects and programs at executive levels of IT and Business leadership. He/she will contribute learnings and best practices to other enterprise architects in IT.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Direct, sustain and communicate architectural strategies and activities for the Medical and Market Access business/technology domains, architectural practice area, guide solution decisions for the development of solution architectures for projects or programs within Medical and Market Access.
  • Define standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domain. -Define and develop the logical design and information management strategies necessary to store, move and manage data in a new target state.
  • Incorporate digital and data technology directions thinking of current and future state into solution architecture design, while communicating and engaging Novartis Enterprise Architecture leadership and governance.
  • Utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution architecture design.
  • Define, create, and evolve the Architecture Governance Framework (e.g. roadmaps, architecture methods, practices, and standards) additionally identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end process for architecture design for Medical and Market Access full portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the business and domain architects to define standards and specific solution based on Novartis standards.
  • Overall Understanding of Commercial Pharma Architecture and how content management, data flows and cloud-based interactions for information capture and usage for Medical and Market Access processes can work.
  • Understands the Medical business processes in Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical industry like the Medical Domain (Medical Inquiries, Adverse Event Reporting, Product Quality Complaints, Medical Response Documentation, Medical Field Force detailing, Medical Publications, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) interactions, Congresses, Real World Evidence data management, Call Center processes, Medical Intelligence from various commercial data and others), and the Market Access Domain (Pricing, Contract Management, Tender Management, Orders, Selling Models (like direct selling, indirect selling etc.), industry players (like wholesalers, buying groups, 1/3 payers, HCOs etc,), Revenue Deductions ( upfront discounts, chargebacks, rebates etc.), knowledge of CPO specific compliance rules like Govt. Pricing, Gross to Net, Revenue Forecasting, Reverse Logistics etc.)
  • Has worked with some of the key vendors / technologies in the marketplace like ModelN, SAP, Vistex, Anaplan, Conga, Veeva (Vault, CRM), Anju (IRMS), Envision (Datavision), IQVIA (Engage Events management)
  • Must understand Medical and Market Access landscape in one or more key markets (e.g. US, Europe, China etc.) 
  • Understands the Medical and Market Access data landscape (data models concepts, key data suppliers, how the data from key suppliers are used) in one of more key markets. 
  • Medical and Market Access experience in a global setting a plus
     

Key performance indicators:

  • Completeness, adequacy and correctness of the domain architecture meeting its functional and non -functional needs and requirements.
  • Strategy and infrastructure landscape in alignment to Enterprise Standards.
  • Documented architecture following the Novartis Architecture framework(s), processes and tools.
  • Operational and cost efficiency -Key stakeholder trainings.
