Project Mgr. DDIT IES, M&A Programs

Major Accountabilities

• Leads and directs the delivery of multiple small, medium and large, complex IT infrastructure projects and programs for on time, within budget and to the required level of quality.
• Creates, justifies and manages project budgets / spend using standard internal processes and tools
• Participates in early stage scope evaluation within M&A IT program leads involving required stakeholders and own judgement to gauge viability and estimate effort levels of IES service implementation for successful completion of the respective M&A projects.
• Creates resource and project plans, negotiates with vendors, manages or oversees the submission of contract requests, PO and GR according to current Novartis processes.
• Initiates program mobilization by confirming scope, resource estimation and roles and responsibilities for respective programs/projects
• Directs and drives the delivery of IES work packages through active sponsorship, leadership and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements
• Lead diverse and geographically dispersed teams consisting of internal and external resources while maintaining control of progress, quality and budget aligned with commitments for the entire lifecycle of M&A IT Infrastructure programs.
• Manages change, risk, issues and escalations.
• Monitors and controls execution of deliverables though all phases
• Ensures overall project or program success and efficient use of resources, as well as appropriate use of project management methods and tools.
• Provides leadership and guidance by proposing IES related strategies for migration, integration and divestitures.  Takes accountability to ensure adherence with existing IT standards, Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Program scope.
• Champions M&A use cases across internal teams to continuously improve existing IT standards, services and processes and better serve common M&A scenarios.
• Where implementations fail or do not meet expectations, works with IES service lines to adapt processes to needs of acquisition or divestment projects
• Provides program reporting including overall performance of the work in scope.
• Provides project plans for the cutover of data centers, infrastructure cutovers and data migrations associated with integration and divestiture projects.
