About the Role
Are you ready to become the Associate Director, Clinical Development Advanced Methods? This is a pivotal role within Clinical Development, whereby the individual will be instrumental in applying advanced methods and innovative designs to accelerate drug development programs, increase trial success and advanced label claims. This role interlinks with key business functions such as Analytics, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs and Early Development. So, if you have an eye for identifying and evaluating cross functionally applicability and implementability of organisationally aligned advanced methods in clinical development then you should apply.
Major accountabilities but not limited to:
- Partner and deputize the Global Head of Advanced Methods as the Clinical Development representative for enterprise-wide innovation projects.
- Support development and maintenance of a strategic concepts, in partnership with the Global Head Advanced Methods, to drive advanced trial designs and methodologies to clinical development plans and study designs within the Development organization.
- Support clinical teams with implementation of these concepts applying a nimble and agile approach leveraging existing expertise.
- Identify, drive and support innovative projects relevant to clinical trial design and clinical development plans
- Proactively monitor internal and external trends in clinical development to identify new trials designs and methods.
Key performance indicators:
- Quality & consistency of evaluating and creating organizational alignment on prioritized focus areas for advanced methodologies.
- Quality & consistency in raising awareness and disseminating Advanced Methods opportunities across the organization.
- Quality & consistency of cross-functional support provided to program team driving internal uptake and external acceptance.
- Influencing external environment aligned with our strategic goals e.g. regulators, trade association, KoL, scientific societies, academics.
- Identification of internal and external trends (competitive intelligence and horizon scanning)
Your Experience:
- Advanced life science degree (Ph.D, PharmD, Master in Public Health).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry preferably across several disease areas and development phases
- Working knowledge of Drug Development processes, with extensive experience in designing and conducting clinical trials, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Successful relationship builder and communicator with experience leading cross-functional work streams, driving program excellence and engaging functional partners
- Fluent in English
