144 people in Ireland take part in Psoriasis and Beyond global survey

Novartis and the Irish Skin Foundation recently worked together on the Irish arm of the Psoriasis and Beyond Survey. Psoriasis and Beyond is a global psoriatic disease survey which aims to assess patients’ understanding of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis as part of a systemic disease and to assess the physical burden of living with the condition.

The survey took a closer look at the broader impact of psoriatic disease, including connected comorbidities, how it affects a person’s quality of life, and coping mechanisms people use.

The Psoriasis and Beyond Survey elevated the voices and experiences of 144 people in Ireland living with psoriasis.  7 out of 10 respondents reported that psoriasis has a moderate to extremely large effect on people’s lives, while almost 60% said it made them feel less confident about themselves.
