Summary
• Direct program/project teams (internal and external) and maintain control of progress, quality, and budget. Responsible for leading cross-functional teams to execute DDIT programs. Lead and coach the program team, define deliverables and timelines and ensure tasks are assigned, motivate team members and solve any issues to maintain sustained productivity.
• Understand the business direction, align strategy to scope of the critical DDIT programs, and drive measurable results aligned with business process and solution standards.
• Ensure a smooth transition to operations defining the optimal planning and execution of all activities associated. with a release
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms, and processes for responsible business domain/function(s). Ensure on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of the program.
- Liaise with stakeholders and senior executives to define program objectives, scope and align them with the business strategies. Anticipate, manage and resolve/escalate issues and risks that could impact program delivery.
- Pro-actively engage with Technology & Systems partner to jointly strive for innovation and engage in design partnerships. Ensure services, solutions, platforms, products are fit for purpose and achieve the desired business value and impact. Establish governance structure for projects, operations, etc. with right collaborator representation.
- Act as a point of contact for program stakeholders and sponsors, keeping them informed on program status and changes. Track, report, and deliver against agreed success factors and KPIs for various stakeholders for responsible domain/functions. Take accountability to ensure adherence (in a timely and documented manner) to security and compliance policies and procedures within the service delivery scope.
- Interact with the solution providers‘ engagement leads and account managers to drive and deliver on set objectives
- Ensure adherence to good documentation practices for key program decisions between relevant parties (e.g. meeting minutes for key conclusions, internally and with solution providers)
- Ensure program goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives and agreed methodology. Manage all major program activities, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and deployment standards. Manage development of program plans, specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources to accomplish the desired business outcomes, aligned with time and budget commitments.
- Monitor program and individual project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to keep the projects on track and facilitate corrective actions when necessary.
- Own program status, issues and risks through appropriate channels / tools and ensure that these are reported back to the agreed program governance with focus on required actions, ownership, and risk management
Essential Requirements
Education & Qualifications
• University degree in informatics, computer sciences, business or similar
• Project methodologies (Agile - scrum training; waterfall; hybrid)
Experience
- 15+ years industry/ business exposure, strategy development, program management, people leadership, interactions with senior management
- Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with key global stakeholders, well-developed record of successful relationship management
- Functional breadth, ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment, collaborating across boundaries
- Knowledge in drug development - patient safety & pharmacovigilance business domain area would be a plus.
