For launch brands, ensure scientific communications launch readiness, in collaboration with the Global Health Global Medical Affairs team and Global Program team (GPT).

About the Role
Major Accountabilities
- Drives development, implementation and dissemination of strategic global scientific communication plan for assigned priority brand(s) within Global Health (GH)
- Represents the scientific communication function at the GH Medical Leadership Team
- Leads Medical Society Engagement within the priority program or assigned disease area with specific focus on medical education and congress collaboration
- Act as subject matter expert for scientific communications within the program or therapy area
- Accountable for all scientific communication with internal customers in collaboration with GxT, GPT and other Medical/clinical forums
- Establish strong working relationships and actively collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders
- Manage all aspects of publication and medical education agencies in support of scientific communications.
- Manage all financial and contractual aspects of assigned projects, including vendor negotiations in collaboration with procurement
- Contributes to functional excellence projects across GH Medical Affairs, obtaining input from other line functions
Requirements:
- PhD, or PharmD, desirable: MBA, MPH or equivalent degree in health care/medical field
- Fluent oral and written English
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare companies including experiences in countries and/or Global organization (Medical/commercial organizations/departments with focus in Medical Affairs, drug development, or Marketing)
- Demonstrated leadership including management in a matrix environment, across functions, regions and countries with strong influencing, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Proven project management skills: project design, stakeholder alignment and management, implementation and success measures
- Proven business mindset including innovative and critical thinking with performance-oriented drive
