The role is critical in helping Innovative Medicines - US Finance apply innovative analytics to drive business value and improvements. Collaborate closely with Finance associates to drive decisions via data and analytics. Responsible for developing solutions to Finance’s challenges by identifying the right data assets, tools, analytical models, and teams to deliver.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership, consultative, communication, analytical, storytelling skills and managing concurrent analytical use cases while working with cross functional teams to drive outcomes
- Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners in collaboration with other analytical teams
- Identify ways to measure and present existing Finance data for greater ease of communicating with stakeholders
- Utilize advanced analytical models to improve the visibility, operational efficiency, and decision-making capability of the Finance community
- Drive and build out new/existing service offerings (i.e. Advanced Analytics Analysis and Data Literacy)
- Understands business priorities/challenges and translates them into data performance metrics and advanced predictive analytics
- Lead work in deploying data science techniques to unlock Finance data to discover new KPIs, savings or insights
- Key performance indicators: Increased analytical capabilities driving and supporting business objectives & customer satisfaction
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4+ years of experience working with data analytics/design
- Demonstrated thought leadership
- Proven track record of analyzing complex situations and processes and synthesizing the data to form a cohesive picture
- Learning agility, problem solving skills, strong attention to detail and keen interest to deepen learning within a complex regulatory environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, consulting, and relationship management skills; ability to effectively collaborate across multiple constituents to deliver on a common goal
Desirable Requirements:
- Degree subject area in Business, Finance, Statistics, Technology or related area
- Proficiency in SQL strongly preferred
Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between: $136,800.00 and $205,200.00/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
