We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate BPE Methods, Tools & Systems Lead to join our BPE Center of Excellence (CoE). The successful candidate will be responsible for driving value to Novartis by defining, developing, and deploying methods, tools, and systems, resulting in enhanced efficiency, effectiveness, lower risks, and increased business value.
Major accountabilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Defining, developing, and deploying methods, tools, and systems.
- Develop overall program methods.
- Build training materials and train teams (BPE, GPO, Organizational Units, Global Functions).
- Harvest lessons learned from the BPE team and others applying the methods, tools, and systems.
- Incorporate collected lessons learned into the methods, tools, and systems to improve them.
- Support the delivery team by acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the methods, tools, and systems.
- Monitor progress and ensure continuous improvement.
- Apply the methods, tools, and systems in BPE engagements.
- Advise stakeholders on best practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Lean Six Sigma (LSS).
- Proven record in delivering operational excellence projects.
- Proficient in new LSS methods, tools, and systems.
- Experience in regulated environments, particularly the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Demonstrated success in working collaboratively within diverse team settings, effectively operating and influencing others to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to lead functional-technical discussions and deliver business-oriented, value-driven solutions.
- Excellent capability to build and maintain internal stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient in handling stakeholder needs and ensuring strict adherence to principles and standards.
- Well-organized and self-motivated, practical, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Additional experience in shared services, global capability centers, or similar.
- Proficiency in process excellence methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, project management, and business process transformation. Familiarity with tools and techniques for process improvement and automation.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop solutions. This includes data analysis, problem-solving, and the ability to interpret complex information.
- Ability to lead and manage projects, teams, and resources. This includes setting goals, developing strategies, and ensuring the successful implementation of initiatives.
- A focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to driving efficiency and quality in processes. This involves staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across different units, functions, and levels of the organization. Building strong relationships and fostering a culture of collaboration are essential.
- Skills in managing change and guiding teams through transitions. This includes understanding the impact of changes on processes and people, and developing strategies to mitigate resistance.
