Summary

The Engineering Head ensures highest reliability of production equipment by leading the German and Italian engineering team. Acts as subject matter expert supporting the sites in technical matters, ensuring technical operational excellence and performances of the sites. As part of the Engineering LT, this person supports the definition and implementation of corporate guidelines and engineering strategy.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overview,  manage and develop the engineering team in German and Italian sites.

  • Act as a bridge between global Engineering team and local site engineers and maintenance technicians.

  • Manage the initial and ongoing training of site engineers and maintenance technicians.

  • Monitor technical reliability and efficiency of production equipment in respective sites.

  • Support local engineering teams remotely or on-site in preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment. Coordinate the planning and execution of maintenance depending on system parameters trending, equipment usage, calendar-based approach or in case of failure, taking into account business constraint and minimizing impact.

  • Ensure proper management and ordering of spare parts in the sites.

  • Act as subject matter expert for production equipment and site engineering management.

  • Support, mentor and develop the local engineers for preventive/corrective maintenance, as well as for the management of on-call availability, working time, radioactive dose exposure, stress.

  • Coordinate the maintenance activity of the associated country/countries: KPIs follow up, continuous improvement initiatives, design/assign/follow up the technical projects and missions, inform and interact with the Operations and Quality departments for any potential issue and their evolution.

  • Lead engineering projects on regional level.

  • Create, review, and optimize working procedures for production equipment management (qualification, use, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.) in accordance with GMP and HSE standards.

  • Participate to the hiring and training process of a new site engineers and maintenance technicians. Be accountable for team development.

Work location can be either Germany (Bonn, Muich) or Italy (Meldola, Pozzilli, Ivrea).

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechatronics / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Automation technology / Nuclear Engineering / Physics or equivalent

  • +3 years of experience in a leadership role within the Engineering department of a radiopharmaceutical environment;

  • excellent technical skills;

  • fluent in English.
