About the Role

Are you ready to step up and become an Associate Director, Clinical Development Diversity, Equity and Inclusion? Supporting the Head, CD DEI in defining and implementing the Novartis strategy to ensure diverse patient representation across global clinical trials. The selected applicant will support the creation of an effective framework for diversity, champion internal awareness of DEI as a mandatory component of successful development planning and ensure we meet regulatory DEI requirements in our submissions.

Major duties but not limited to:

  • Oversees all operational aspects of clinical trials end-to-end, including planning, execution and interpretation of clinical trials research, data collection activities and clinical operations.
  • Support the establishment of an effective framework for planning DEI in our clinical programs and trials, leveraging existing team structures.
  • Build trust with society by embedding DEI within our CD trial strategy and increase participation of under-represented populations in Novartis clinical trials.
  • Support holistic training for internal associates as well as sites that tackle bias and systemic issues which are barriers to diversity in clinical trials.
  • Support the visibility of Clinical Trial Diversity activities across Novartis and ensure buy-in from development leaders to drive equity in representation.
  • Lead project management efforts to help the team on track with the various activities and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals and timelines.

Your experience:

  • Advanced life science degree (Ph.D, PharmD, Master in Public Health).
  • Demonstrable relevant pharmaceutical drug development experience.
  • Experienced in leading projects / teams.
  • Familiar with working in a global matrix environment
  • Fluent in English
