Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as an Alteryx to Dataiku Migration Specialist. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in data analytics, ETL processes and migration procedures, with a proven track record of successfully migrating large-scale projects between Alteryx and Dataiku. This role is critical to our company's data strategy and will focus on ensuring a seamless transition from our current Alteryx platform to Dataiku.
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Lead Migration Projects: Plan, manage, and execute large-scale migration projects from Alteryx to Dataiku, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies, including risk assessment, timeline creation.
- Develop and build end to end target solution. Propose alternate target tool to business (Dataiku or Power Query/Power App) with strong technical reasoning. Provide effort estimates using complexity model (Small, Medium, Large or XL, Custom estimate).
- Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of both Alteryx and Dataiku to address and resolve any challenges that arise during the migration process.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices for data workflows, ETL processes and procedures within Dataiku to optimize performance and efficiency post-migration.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals, to ensure all aspects of the migration are aligned with organizational goals and requirements.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on the new Dataiku platform to ensure a smooth transition and adoption of new tools and processes. Actively involved in end user Dataiku training/conduct monthly Dataiku community connects.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of migration processes, decisions, and project outcomes for future reference and continuous improvement. Compliance: Ensure all migration activities comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 + years of overall experience in ETL / complex data processing and hands on Dataiku and Alteryx technical expertise
- Prior experience in a similar role within a large organization and proficiency in Python desirable
- Strong coding skills on Dataiku and Alteryx
- Past experience on Alteryx to Dataiku migration is a plus
- Ability to understand Alteryx use cases and migrate them to Dataiku.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of the migration are thoroughly planned and executed.
- Customer Focus: Keeps the needs and priorities of the end-users in mind throughout the migration process.
- Resilience: Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
