Summary
About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using Commvault solutions to protect data across diverse environments.
- Maintenance and Optimization: Regularly monitor, maintain, and optimize backup systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to backup jobs, storage devices, and network configurations.
- Disaster Recovery: Plan and execute disaster recovery tests and procedures to ensure data is recoverable in case of data loss or corruption.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backup configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate backup solutions with various systems and applications.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and company policies.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and conduct training sessions on best practices.
Your experience:
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing Backup infrastructure/components.
- Strong understanding of storage technologies, operating systems (Windows, Unix), and networking.
- Proficiency in backup management tools for monitoring, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with Commvault backup infrastructure, enabling seamless integration of on-premises and cloud storage.
- Experience with cloud storage services, such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage, and their integration with on-premises storage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve backup-related issues in both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong documentation skills to create and maintain accurate and up-to-date storage-related documentation for both on-premises and cloud storage environments.
