About the role: We are looking for experienced and passionate professional to help us achieve our ambitious mission to reach twice as patients twice as fast. As W&D Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end efficiency of sales order delivery process across the Canadian territory in time and cost, and drive synergies between the different suppliers to improve performance. Monitor operational performance of the logistics providers through the definition, implementation and analysis of KPIs, identifying operation improvements. Lead W&D projects, future bids, action plans of improvement, including budget process submission and management. This role will work directly with the Customer Service & Supply Planning teams and reports to the Head of Supply Chain Management & Customer Operations. Temporary contract ending September 30th 2026

About the Role

Key responsibilities:

Implement and Manage Novartis Operations Warehouse & Distribution strategy.

Ensure the timely process & delivery of the sales orders received at the warehouse, coordinate the necessary activities with other areas (Customer Service, Trade, etc) to avoid delays in the shipment process. Prioritize the on-going shipping process according to commercial needs.

• Act as a single point of contact for the local organization in all 3PL and 4PL related matters to provide clear visibility to internal & external customers of the status of the orders processed and delivered from the warehouse.

• Plan along with the key logistics services suppliers the proper resource capacity to manage efficiently the workload of the Novartis operation.

• Coordinate the monthly period closure along with Finance and Customer Service.

• Lead and manage all Global Lean W&D initiatives in the CPO to achieve a best-in-class secondary W&D operation.

• Ensure that Warehouse & Distribution cost allocations and accounting adhere to guidelines, including Invoice checking, expenses recording and analysis, and statement of account monitoring in consonance with Supply Chain budget.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential:

University Degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Engineering, preferred.

• Experience in Customer Service, Order Management, Logistics and distribution.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a team player and pro-active attitude. Ability to address time-sensitive or urgent problems and adjust to periods of intense workload. Project Management.

•Leadership with proven problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity.

• Strong knowledge of M365 package and data analytics tools as Power BI, Sap Business Objects, Tableau, etc.

Desirable:

• 3-5 years of pharmaceutical or food industry experience

• Intermediate Bilingualism – Oral and Written: English and French
