About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Own the relationship with external creative agency to support Corporate Affairs postproduction efforts for still and motion content (editing, motion graphics, color, sound, retouching, etc.)
Serve as lead motion graphics artist for Corporate Affairs and secondary editor for high-profile video content across Corporate Affairs.
Work with writers, directors, freelancers, and business partners to bring to life visionary storytelling projects and campaigns to reach diverse, global audiences.
Consult with and offer creative guidance to business partners to improve production value and outcomes. Follow and ensure adherence to standardized process for collection, review, and approval of videos and animations.
Drive innovation ways of developing decks for business and communications with the use of animation and motion graphics content. Deliver video/animation content that demonstrate quality and understanding of target audience needs contributing to a positive customer experience.
Ensure video content and plans are aligned with the overall Novartis and Affairs strategy, tone of voice, and brand guidelines. Identify and build innovative processes to simplify, standardize and drive efficient design operations activities that are most relevant and accessible for stakeholders.
Contribute to a high performing team, with excellent quality standards and a collaborative attitude to achieve business objectives. Help build digital asset management system.
Organize and manage video projects proactively in the digital asset management system for easy access and usage for the Video and Digital Production team.
Essential requirements
Fluency in English. Other languages are a plus
8-10 years in as a video editor or motion graphics artist as a freelancer or at a creative agency
Extensive portfolio of high-end commercial, documentary or feature editing work (more important than years of experience)
Expert video editor, motion graphics artist and extensive knowledge of complex postproduction workflows
Skills as colorist, imaging tech, or retouches are a big plus
Appetite to take on duties beyond those outlined in this description in order to fill gaps on production
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong problem-solving skills and initiative. Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
