Summary

The Patient Journey Acceleration (PJA) & New Commercial Partnerships (NCP) Manager acts as the strategic business partner and project manager for the TA with the objective to improve and accelerate the patient journey in the dedicated therapeutic areas and build in-novative partnerships with key accounts and healthcare solutions providers. PJA NCP man-ager will play a meaningful role in designing and implementation of a new commercial partnership (NCP) model in Czech Republic to address specific difficulties in the patient journey. The goals are to accelerate time to diagnosis and treatment, to optimize referral process, improve disease monitoring and follow-up, to ensure an outstanding customer experience for the priority brands and overall better public health. To achieve these goals the PJA NCP manager will strongly interact and collaborate with external stakeholders on the level of the public and private health care providers, regional payer offices, KOLs, medical societies, pro-viders of digital HC tools / solutions and other partners in the healthcare system. Internal-ly the PJA FF will collaborate with business franchises, public affair, market access, medical, sales, legal and compliance, finance, innovation and capabilities and other members of X functional teams.

About the Role

Key responsibilities:

1.  GROWTH: Develop a Business Transformation strategy plan for the therapeutic area, aligned with the CPO priorities and Global, Regional and Cluster requirements

  • Builds a strategic vision and plan for the acceleration and fixing of the Patient Journey
  • Ensures that plans/strategies accommodate the changes taking place in the market and respond to customer needs
  • Acts as trusted partner with all customers, gaining a deep understanding of their needs to connect Novartis capabilities and co-create important solutions including digital ones.

2. PRODUCTIVITY: Drive effective use of resources according to commercial priorities of the Patient Journey Acceleration unit

  • Map the best-proven patient journey solutions and build a catalogue of solutions that is fit for purpose.
  • Share the patient and partner community needs internally.
  • Work on the standardization of the customer offer, based on the product lifecycle and patient journey phase, demonstrating as appropriate the offering catalogue
  • Drives solutions to address difficulties and unlock options to deliver value for patients and the community.
  • Develops important metric set and monitoring/tracking tools. Interpret Key Performance Indicators and analyze results to propose solutions for broader implementation.

3. INNOVATION: Identifies and implements new ways to accelerate the patient journey through solutions for a differentiated customer experience

  • Identify new opportunities for further strategic alliances and target groups development to deliver the best solutions for patients.
  • Implement innovative concepts including e.g. partnerships, customer services and use of new technologies, digital solutions and medicines
  • Aligns with Regional and Global customer solution initiatives to be aware of new application fields, treatment options, and outcomes results for products/diseases
  • Serve as a leader and advisor identifying trends, participating in industry forums and events, and evaluating driven offerings demonstrating on insights with Regional and Global Digital Medicines team.

Essential requirements:

University degree or equivalent experience in business, bioscience, medicine, and/or economics, MBA preferred
• Czech: native/proficient. English: written and spoken
• Extensive (5-10 years) of sales & marketing, medical and market access experience within the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong analysis and communication skills
• Strong partners’ or equivalent experience management, strategic and lateral thinking
• Interpretation and efficient communication of sophisticated information
• Communicates business-critical information at senior levels
• Negotiation and persuasion skills
• Passion for the business side beyond finance
• Result focus with high integrity
• Capacity to work under pressure
• Ability to builds extensive internal and/or external networks
• Hard-working for digital innovations

 

Desired:

  Excellent execution skills

  Project management experience

  Experience partnering with PAGs (Patient Advocacy Groups)

   Experience in agile ways of working

Ability to prioritize with the outcome impact on mind

  Experience wth digital medical solutions development / implementation
