Summary

Work closely with the Operations Centre and Financial Services Centre finance teams to drive daily process improvements by ensuring compliance with the NAM/TechOps accounting manual. Also provide insightful, value-added analysis and decision support and contribute to develop robust financial plans and detailed tracking processes.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Handle project budgeting and manufacturing cost control.
  • Understand and implement Novartis accounting procedures and internal controls in a manner consistent with Japan, working with the global organization.
  • Build steady and strong relationships with both domestic and international stakeholders to provide high quality and timely services.
  • Ensure the integrity of data provided by the production team and provide value-added analysis.
  • Provide quality financial analysis that supports and appropriately manages the product costing process to improve business case recommendations and profitability tracking.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above (any major)
  • Knowledge of cost control/management accounting and experience using accounting management systems.
  • Advanced business level English and fluent in Japanese
  • Must have a solid cultural awareness of corporate culture and be a team player..


Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in cost control/management accounting in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in management accounting in a pharmaceutical company is welcomed.
  • Level 2 or above in Japanese bookkeeping if preferable

  • 製造チームから提供されるデータの整合性を確保し、付加価値のある分析を提供する。
  • ビジネスケースの提案と収益性の追跡を改善するため、製品原価計算プロセスをサポートし適切に 管理された質の高い財務分析を提供する。

必須要件

  • 学士以上を取得されていること(専攻は問わない)
  • 原価管理/管理会計の知識があり、会計管理システムの使用経験をお持ちであること 
  • ビジネス上級レベルの英語力があり、日本語が流暢であること
  • 企業文化への理解があり、チームプレイヤーであること。

望ましい要件:

  • 製造業における原価管理/管理会計の経験をお持ちであることが望ましい
  • 製薬会社での管理会計の経験があれば尚良い
  • 日商簿記2級以上歓迎
