• Drives strategic communication with business leaders around automation needs of the Supply chain organization, supporting Novartis Technical Operations on various data & digital initiatives
• Lead automation projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive the adoption and integration of automation solutions, ensuring seamless operations and maximize efficiency within the supply chain
About the Role
Major Accountabilities
SC Automation Lead, Data Insights and Analytics:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for implementing automation solutions within the supply chain, with a specific focus on leveraging data and analytics
- Lead the design and implementation of data-driven automation projects, utilizing advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to drive efficiency and cost savings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within the supply chain, including Artworks, Master Data, Product Life Cycle inventory management, WDL etc.
- Collaborate with DDIT team to select and implement appropriate automation technologies and tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing ecosystem and processes
- Manage automation projects from initiation to successful implementation, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource utilization, and high-quality output
- Monitor the performance and effectiveness of implemented automation solutions, conducting regular analysis and providing recommendations for enhancements and improvements
- Provide guidance and support to supply chain teams and stakeholders in adopting and effectively utilizing automation solutions, ensuring proper training and change management & Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain strong partnerships, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement within the supply chain organization
- Stay updated on emerging trends, advancements, and best practices in supply chain automation and data analytics, actively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the organization
- Comply with all internal functional operating procedures like time tracking, KPI tracking and reporting, and other internal systems and processes
- Ensure Training on relevant procedures before taking up any GxP activities
Ideal Background (State the preferred education and experience level)
Education (minimum/desirable):
Post-Graduation in Technology / Engineering
Experience:
- Experience (8 – 12 years)
- Strong experience in Business development and project management in BI & advanced analytics / Data Science
- Proven expertise in leading automation initiatives preferably within the supply chain, with a focus on leveraging data and analytics for optimization
- Exposure or experience in advanced analytics / Data Science
- Holistic understanding and expertise in supply chain and associated areas
- Pharma industry experience will be added advantage
- Expertise in estimating, planning and scoping of projects
- Strong understanding of program management principles and processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and detail-oriented approach
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change within the organization
