About the Role
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Execute regional and global strategies for your part of the organisation, ensuring timely implementation of BPA processes and policies.
Deliver core management reporting and financial planning processes for both recurring and ad-hoc financial information.
Develop detailed budgets and financial forecasts for Global Warehousing & Distribution, including product freight costing.
Design and maintain systems for financial tracking to provide accurate advance warnings of all financial results.
Conduct value-added analyses on financial data to proactively drive performance.
Support the leadership team with financial analysis, cost analysis, and control, driving corrective actions as needed.
Perform analyses such as Resource Allocation, Profitability, and Benchmarking to recommend short and long-term targets.
Lead the preparation of business cases and participate in key negotiations for mid-sized investments and projects.
Report technical complaints, adverse events, or special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.
Lead the monthly reporting process by reviewing entity contributions and providing analysis and input.
Coordinate forecasting and budgeting of NTO SCM; support reporting for all planning cycles.
Ensure NFCM compliance at all times.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential for the role:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred), or relevant finance certifications
Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment
Proven expertise in financial management and product costing
Strong project and process management skills
Experience in developing and managing business cases
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling
Ability to partner effectively with business units
Solution-driven and pragmatic approach
Proficiency in managing large databases
High learning agility and curiosity for new technologies
Adaptability to changing environments
Desirable for the role:
Experience in automation and digitalisation within financial processes
Pharmaceutical industry experience
Experience within a multinational organisation
