About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Development of functional assays using primary cells, iPSC-derived cells and cell lines to explore the activity and mode of action of novel drug candidates modulating neuroinflammatory/neurodegenerative pathways to support our portfolio projects and candidate selection
Establishment of iPSC-derived glia/neurons for in vitro disease modeling, including cultivation, differentiation, and modification
Independently establishing protocols and designing, developing, executing a variety of experiments to perform phenotypic and functional characterization of cells
Accurately recording, analyzing, and interpreting data and document experiments in electronic laboratory journal
Communicating and presenting of results to the team
Supporting general laboratory duties
Your profile:
Master’s degree or engineer diploma in Biology or equivalent, with 2-3 years of additional relevant work experience preferably in industry. *Please note that PhD candidates will not be considered for this offer*
Previous experience in neuroscience drug discovery area would be an advantage.
Hands-on experience in cell culture including primary cells and iPSC technology, in vitro differentiation, and characterization. Experience in coculture models is a plus.
Expert knowledge in various technologies and assays with living cells to analyze cellular targets and cellular functions. Previous experience in flow cytometry and CyTOF technologies would be of advantage. Familiarity with cell assay technologies e.g. MSD, HTRF, AlphaLISA, LegendPlex.
Experience in biology techniques including gene editing (RNAi, CRISPR), imaging technologies (confocal, live-cell imaging) and molecular/protein assays (RNA isolation, qPCR, Western Blotting)
Track record on integrating, visualizing, interpreting, and reporting data.
Enthusiasm developing, applying, and optimizing new protocols and techniques. Embrace opportunities to gain new skills
