About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Focus on the development or application of statistical methods in clinical research and development. Mathematical, statistical, graphical or programming techniques will be used for data analysis, simulation and display
- Participate in a variety of educational opportunities within the Biostatistics function of the Advanced Quantitative Sciences (AQS) department
- This internship will provide motivated students with exposure to the pharmaceutical industry, and with the opportunity to work in an exciting, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment with senior-level biostatisticians
Start date: Flexible, starting from March
Duration: The internship is expected to last approximately 3 months (exceptionally 6 months)
Location: Basel (hybrid - 60% in office)
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Current students enrolled in a Master’s or PhD degree with a substantial statistical component (e.g. Statistics, Biostatistics or Mathematics etc.).
- Good written and oral communication skills in English are required
- Good understanding of common statistical methodology and be interested in its application in drug development
- Programming skills in a statistical programming language such as R are expected
