Alexandra Bach-Weidmuller is the NIBR Chief-of-Staff since November 2021. Prior to this role, she served as Head of the NIBR GTx Initiative and Translational Program Head for Rett Syndrome.
Alexandra has been with Novartis for 27 years and has multidivisional and multinational experience in the company. She held various positions in program leadership, portfolio management, and strategy within Development, NIBR, Novartis Vaccines (Development and Manufacturing), and Novartis Gene Therapy.
Inside and outside of Novartis, Alexandra likes to fight for the underdog. For more than 15 years, she has been volunteering with dog rescue organizations and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training program. Together with her husband Henry, she has sponsored more than 10 children in developing countries.
Alexandra holds MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School and MS degrees in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Justus Liebig University Giessen.
