Within Medical Governance (MG): Accountable for the Governance of GxP and other regulated medical activities for Ireland. It is a non-promotional and is responsible to enable and support Medical Affairs business strategy execution by providing sustainable solutions to deliver medical affairs projects/activities. For Business Excellence Execution, this is a non-promotional, scientific role providing broad therapeutic areas expertise and having a sound understanding of various therapeutic areas and related brands to provide scientific and medical expertise to internal stakeholders. Here you will address relevant medical needs of clinical practice to successfully support the optimal use of company products.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities:

Medical Governance Lead

  • Owns the end-to-end medical governance of regulated activities (Interventional and NIS/ RWE, IIT, MAP, RC), in alignment with Medical Affairs strategy and priorities.
  • Monitors adherence to company processes, standards and Irish regulations. - Supports data quality/integrity in Irish Medical Affairs team.
  • Advises and guide activities of Medical Affairs when required

Business Excellence Execution :

  • Responsible for providing medical leadership for medical products in the Business Excellence and mature brands areas.

  • Provides high standard and timely responses to the medical information queries of relevant products.
  • Responsible for providing valid and timely interpretation of medical data for assigned therapeutic areas /compounds. 1/3
  • Designs and delivers training and provides therapeutic area trainings and scientific support to the Therapeutic Area (s) (sales and marketing).
  • Engages with healthcare professionals and Healthcare Organisations in processing grants and donations applications and brings these to the attention of the funding committee.
  • Keeps up to date with key developments in assigned Therapeutic Areas, including relevant company and competitor products and broader developments.
  • Stays in sync with all local legislation including the Medicinal Products (Control of Advertising) Regulations, 2007 (SI 541/2007), the IPHA Code of Practice and Novartis Code of Conduct, the Global P3 Guidelines and all internal standard operating procedures relating to activities of a Novartis non-promotional associate activities including but not limited to Adverse Events reporting and Complaint handling

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Related roles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong motivation and determination for achieving success.
  • Strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
