Summary
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include;
- Leading a multidisciplinary team of functional experts focused on securing global regulatory approval, market access and optimized commercial value of the program while ensuring this is achieved with a high quality, full compliance within budget and in a competitive and timely manner, using both the internal or other identified expert resources necessary for success.
- Communicates efficiently to drive high quality decisions from Governance for the best interest of patients and the enterprise.
- Build an agile, collaborative cross-functional team ecosystem which delivers strong strategies and efficient execution for their programs in a complex, uncertain, competitive environment. Ensures a cohesive Development, NIBR and Commercial/Mkt access/Medical execution.
- Innovates and drives external teamwork and projects. You will represent Novartis and your program externally.
- Establish short- and long-range project vision and strategy and complete implementation through achievements and decision points by using cross-functional teams.
- Ensures alignment /close collaboration cross global functions, regions and CPOs in regard to strategy and direction.
- Uses knowledge, experience, understanding of external partners, internal team capabilities and portfolio needs to develop a compelling, innovative vision and strategy for the program.
Minimum requirements
- Doctoral degree or equivalent, MD preferred
- Min 8 years of drug development experience with proven track record of R&D leadership and management.
- Atopic Dermatitis/ disease area expertise is preferred,
- Clinical Background relevant to the Programs in the Development Franchise (Medical Training or Experience on Program Teams)
- Experience in product registration and major Health Authority interactions.
- Successfully lead Program(s) to achieve key program milestones according to timelines -
- Leading large and/or diverse multi-functional teams.
- Strategy Development.
- Functional Breadth.
- Critical Negotiations.
