Location: Prague, Czechia About the Role: The Cloud Network Engineer will play an important role within our global healthcare company, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based network infrastructure. This position is project-based, providing dynamic and challenging opportunities to work on various cloud networking initiatives that enhance and support our global operations. The Cloud Network Engineer will ensure seamless connectivity and robust performance of cloud networks, contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our healthcare services. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and the ability to adapt to evolving project demands and technological advancements.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Cloud Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy cloud network solutions to support the organization’s global operations, and lead cloud network infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technological advancements.

  • Cloud Network Maintenance and Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud network issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime; and conduct regular cloud network assessments and implement necessary updates and upgrades

  • Security and Compliance: Adhere to robust cloud network security measures to protect sensitive healthcare data and comply with industry regulations. Support periodic security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and security, to support business initiatives and ensure seamless cloud network integration. Provide technical guidance to team members and end-users as needed

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud network configurations, processes, and procedures. Prepare detailed reports on cloud network performance, incidents, and project progress for management review.

  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality delivery of cloud network solutions and services. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that cloud network solutions meet business needs and expectations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ Years of Professional Experience in Cloud Network Engineering. Proven track record in implementing and managing complex cloud network infrastructure in a large-scale, global environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and executing cloud network-related projects, from initial planning through to successful completion, on time and within budget.

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud networking technologies, including virtual networks, hybrid clouds, and cloud-based load balancers. Proficiency with cloud networking services from leading providers such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core network protocols.

  • Knowledge of cloud network security measures, including security groups, firewalls, NAT gateways, etc.

  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Good diagnostic skills for identifying and resolving complex cloud network issues. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and security, to achieve organizational goals.

  • Skilled in creating and maintaining detailed cloud network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures. Ability to produce comprehensive reports on cloud network performance, incidents, and project outcomes for management review.

  • Customer Service Orientation, and strong focus on providing high-quality cloud network support and ensuring user satisfaction.

  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud networking technologies and tools, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VPN, firewalls, and network monitoring systems.

  • Fluency in English, written and oral

Desirable requirements:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty – beneficial.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer – beneficial.

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is a plus.
