Summary

The primary responsibility is to lead key strategic projects of the company, in-line with the company’s strategy. The position holder leads the management of diverse stakeholders (internal customers), ensures full visibility of ongoing project's progress, leads delivery of engagements and associated outputs, supports the team in engagement work/project management and delivers high-quality deliverables. They work with consulting senior management to develop opportunities of improvements and help them achieve the desired transformation through execution of changes. This position may involve periodic travel to Novartis locations where full-time or part-time on-site project delivery is required for internal customers

About the Role

Major accountabilities:
Leads the program from discovery to deployment phase (which may include large scale implementation, technology platform development
Lead Consultant assumes overall responsibility of project quality and drive project direction with the stakeholders including project planning, resourcing.
They take project delivery responsibility with high quality along with team supervision to achieve successful outcomes, within the planned budget and timeline.
Prioritize and sustain workload of project teams and act to lead teams working effectively.
Lead Consultant will mentor others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
Lead consultant should work with the team to facilitate their career development plan, act as coach/mentor and support overall performance management.
Lead Consultant is encouraged to lead internal critical initiatives e.g., finding opportunities to expand consulting solutions, developing consulting tools and developing the teams’ professional skills.
They are encouraged to develop project portfolios through capability building and aligning talent development with consulting strategy.


Essential Requirements:
Around 15 years of business transformation experience in management consulting, leading medium to large complexity projects.
At least 5 years of people management experience, through direct reports and / or leading large stakeholder teams across cross functional groups in an organization

Demonstrated core consulting skills of analysis, top-down thinking, and presentation.
Ability to learn and develop new concepts/frameworks and adapt ways of working accordingly.
Excellence in soft skills to effectively work with diverse set of senior stakeholders in the organization.
Previous work experience in areas of Change Management, Project and Program Management in large transformation programs involving Operating Model Design.
Strong program management skills to plan, coordinate and supervise large transformation program.
Ability to drive thought leadership in one or more Pharma related functions.
Work experience of supporting projects in Pharma, Healthcare, and Life Sciences

 

 

Desired Requirements

To provide consulting support to our clinical trial operations & procurement R&D teams by bringing in expertise around vendor management & procurement best practices

Detailed Clinical operations contract analysis and modeling across both forward-looking and retrospective reviews.

Identify any discrepancies compared to Master Service Agreement (MSA) terms, internal & external industry benchmarks.

Detect overlaps in service, scope, and transportation across similar studies or programs;

Explore opportunities to challenge and renegotiate with vendors regarding effort, country-specific requirements, inbound logistics, commercial terms, bundling options etc.
