About the Role
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary packaging and device development expertise in a broader cross-functional oral drug product development team, from the preparation of the clinical supplies to the transfer of the commercial product at the manufacturing launch site,
- Support Packaging and Device Project Leaders with the definition of product requirements for packaging, medical devices, delivery systems, e.g. drug/device combination products in which the device is typically already registered, but also sometimes to be developed
- Collaborate with internal and external development partners:
- Deliver work progress according to plan
- Monitor, support and challenge technical development as well as test and verification work
- Monitor development and implementation of manufacturing processes
- Address technical challenges related to oral drugs primary packaging and delivery devices, or associated manufacturing processes
- Generate packaging and combination product development documentation according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Design Controls requirements (including risk management, human factors engineering, technology transfer and design history file)
- Generates innovative ideas within own team and/or project team/functional community
- Mentors and inspires others to solve problems
- Reporting of technical complaints and special case scenarios related to Novartis products
Essential requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
- At least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging technology development
- Fluent English
- Outstanding stakeholders management and excellent communication skills
