About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Manufacturing Functions Head -Set objectives and develop vision for the MF team.
- Manage the career path for the team members, succession planning, training program and career progression within the site.
- Act as SPOC for site head and relevant Engineering and MSAndT functions in operation centers and site development organization.
- Report relevant KPIs to local and global stakeholders -Manufacturing Unit Head Medium / Small Site -Develops and follows-up the medium and long term strategy for department in connection with the site strategy in order to guarantee profitability and meets the needs of the site and the company, in accordance with the strategic vision of the site and Novartis Technical Operations (NTO ) -Ensures overall financial and business performance, safety, quality, costs, supply and resource management (people, equipment, facilities, etc.) and represent this in the site leadership team -Ensure the efficient distribution of the Unit's resources (CAPEX, OPEX, expenses, FTEs).
- Process Team Lead Large/Medium Site -Line responsibility and daily walkthrough -Ensures shop floor resource planning is adequate in correlation with production workload Vs planning -Reviews production schedule (operational horizon) taking into account risks, constraints and opportunities -Process Support Unit Lead Large/Medium Site -Translates the strategic objectives of his team into detailed objectives and action plans -Manage resource and task allocation within the team -Arbitrate tasks prioritization -Drive the Lean culture to achieve Process Excellence, including the daily use of Lean Leadership, Visual Management, Tiered Accountability, Leaders Standard Work and Gemba Walks -Senior Manufacturing Systems Lead -Complex programming for complex manufacturing processes -Deep understanding of Manufacturing/automation/programming/CSV qualification -Good understanding of regulatory manufacturing execution systems CSV requirements across multiple health authorities -HSE and Quality -Guarantee the conformity of the manufacturing unit activities with regard to GMP and HSE rules, Novartis quality/safety policies, and the standards and quality/safety procedures -Promote and improve the Safety and Quality cultures, by implementing the necessary systems and actions in line with the evolution of the site -Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)
Key performance indicators:
- Technology transfers, new product launches and projects delivered within budget, on time, and on schedule -Performance KPI’s and management review system implemented -Costs control and competitiveness -Number of customer complaint on quality, cost of poor quality -Human Resources Performance: Satisfaction survey, execution of Talents and development plans, technical training program in place and executed, training data, attracting and retaining talent, succession plan for manufacturing team in place and robust.
