About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Regional (European) S&E Commercial Priorities
- Bring creative and appropriate deals to the global S&E team for European Commercial deals.
- Lead the execution of finding activities and alignment with strategic priority targets oversee evaluation of partnerships at multiple levels (Triage, DD).
- Lead business growth by conducting S&E activities with a deal-type agnostic mindset beyond ‘single asset deals’ fostering creative thinking (portfolio swaps, co-commercialization deals, and acquisitions)
- Support structuring of transactions and negotiations as a member of the deal team (e.g. License deals, JV, divestments etc.)
- Foster collaboration throughout different stakeholders within Novartis AG organization to align regional commercial interests including Europe.
- Reporting on company meetings to align with the broader S&G organization.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant degree, Ph.D., M.D., or MBA in a relevant Life Sciences discipline
- Relevant experience gained in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with strong drug discovery and/or development experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading Commercial Late Stage deals globally, regionally specifically in Europe and/or across franchises
- Demonstrated experience in business development and licensing, venture capital or management consulting, related to healthcare or drug development.
- Proficiency in English - Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Domestic and international travel required (estimated 25%)
Preferred:
- M&A experience is a plus
