About the Role
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure.
- Coordinate with teams for effective implementation of recovery solutions.
- Conduct regular assessments and updates to ensure the preparedness of our IT systems for potential disaster scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities and performance to ensure adherence to SLAs and contract terms.
- Foster productive relationships with vendors to facilitate efficient and effective disaster recovery operations.
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates to ensure alignment and progress of disaster recovery projects.
- Act as a point of contact for any IT disaster recovery-related queries or concerns within the organization.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT disaster recovery, and project management.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and applications, as well as related disaster recovery principles and best practices.
- Proven experience in conducting DR planning & testing.
- Project management experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Major accountabilities:
- Tracks troubleshoots and resolves platform or system issues.
- Use best practices for coding and automation.
Key performance indicators:
- Adherence to the Novartis IT quality standards.
- No major business disruptions.
- Number of recurring problems.
- Customer feedback (expectations met / exceeded).
- Application onboarding delivery success.
- Cost optimization and / or growth of the business top line revenue resulting from innovative solutions.
