About the Role
Major accountabilities:
Independently plan, organize, perform, and document scientific experiments (sample analysis) including in-process testing. Integrate digitized and automized processes in your daily work (e.g., automated sample preparation and analysis). Maintain laboratory quality standard (Development Quality Practice Standard).
Documentation of raw data, evaluate and interpret results; actively support proposals for designing next experiments.
Support the organization of method implementation and actively perform them in close collaboration with our analytical and method expert teams.
Maintain and qualify analytical equipment and manage operational excellence in the analytical laboratory.
Review and verify raw data generated by others. Write, review, and verify documents (e.g. lab and instrument procedures).
Lead initiatives to ensure continuous improvement, e.g. among others, lab digitalization and lab automation activities. As well as improve/harmonize processes and standards with collaborating process-analytical laboratories, DSD and DPD across Kundl / Schaftenau / Menges / Basel.
Programming lab-operation specific end-to-end workflows using NVS systems, SharePoint, MS Applications, others
Scripting of methods and workflows for automated lab systems (e.g. liquid handlers)
Actively foster knowledge exchange and act as role model in a complex, matrix-oriented environment
Essential Requirements:
Master of Science with 1 year of relevant experience or Bachelor of Science / technical college with 3 years relevant experience or apprenticeship in industry (or equivalent technical education) with 6 years relevant experience.
Hands-on expertise and proficient knowledge in analytical separation techniques ((U)HPLC, CE) and desirably non-separation techniques used in biopharmaceutical industry (e.g., SoloVPE, ELISA).
Experience with electronic laboratory management systems and electronic documentations systems, as well as working with automated sample preparations systems (e.g. Tecan liquid handlers).
Fluency in English and German (B2 level)
Thorough, independent, self-organized working style
Proficient communication and presentation skills
Feedback and problem-solving attitude, collaborative, pragmatic and goal-oriented team-player with a data-first mindset
Desirable requirements:
In-depth knowledge of Chromeleon
Programming skills, e.g. Phython, VBA, MS App applications, etc.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 58,199.96/year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
