Summary

Location: Barcelona (Hybrid) Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you. This position will owns and manages Data Digital & IT Development Patient Safety (PS), Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Medical Affairs (MA) vertical for Drug Development across all geographies. Accountable to Development Patient Safety (PS) and Medical Affairs (MA) Business Units for technology strategic partnering, end-to-end project delivery and operations. Partner with senior business stakeholders and DDIT Strategic Business Partners for demand analysis, solution proposal/evaluation and project delivery.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Define and execute technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms, and processes at organization level. 

  • Partner with senior business stakeholders on overall portfolio, demands, funding.  

  • Partner with relevant Technology Service/Solutions Delivery teams to ensure that the product and platform strategy balances the sophisticated needs of Key Markets, need  for reuse across other priority markets and cost effectively scale at speed to remaining  midsize/small markets   

  • Report on impact and value of overall services, solutions, platforms, products at organization level 

  • Ensure efficient setup for DevOps across platforms, products, or systems at organization level ensuring availability and optimal performance for Domains 

  • Establish governance structure for projects, operations, etc. with right stakeholder representation 

  • Report on agreed success factors and KPIs for various stakeholders in DDIT and business at organizational level. 

  • Take accountability to ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures for solution delivery at Organizational level. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • University degree in computer science, Preferred Masters in either Technology or business and relevant equivalent experience. 

  • Experienced team leader for global diverse teams. Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining talent and building high performance teams.

  • Experience executing strategic planning and risk management. 

  • Industry/ Business Exposure, Strategy Development, Project Management, People Leadership, Interactions with senior management. 

  • Proven Ability to Develop trust-based relationships with key regional stakeholders, Well-developed record of successful relationship management. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement, Operational Excellence, Digital & Technology Savvy, Applied Business Insights, Business Mindset. 

  • Experience working in Patient Safety and/or Medical Affairs would be an advantage. 

Languages :

  • English.
