About the Role:
We are looking for experienced and passionate professionals to join us in our mission to improve and extend the lives of CML and PNH patients. As an MSL, your key objective will be to create an impact by advancing clinical practice within the assigned territory, which will lead to improved patient outcomes.

This field-based, customer-facing role reports directly to the Hematology MSL Manager. The territory will cover part of Ontario (+/- Manitoba).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and cultivate relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), medical experts, and other relevant stakeholders in your territory to implement the Medical Affairs strategic and tactical plan
  • Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions around current and emerging data, clinical outcomes, pipeline products, treatment guidelines, and the mechanism of action of company products
  • Demonstrate deep therapeutic expertise, understand territory/market influences, explore unmet medical needs, and capture relevant medical insights
  • Deliver medical presentations to both external and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and execute opportunities to collaborate with key stakeholders, including regional consultative meetings, speaker programs, training, publications, and collaborative research
  • Provide medical support to clinical operations in the feasibility and implementation of clinical trial sites, identify research opportunities, and act as a point of contact for trial proposals
  • Ensure strong collaboration with cross-functional colleagues in areas such as market access, regulatory affairs, commercial operations, marketing, and sales

What You Will Bring to the Role:

Essential:

  • An advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a field-based role or equivalent in a scientific/medical environment
  • An outgoing personality, proactive in seeking business opportunities and challenging status quo
  • Navigate easily in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Ability to self-organize and effectively manage own schedule
  • This role requires frequent travels (including nights/week-ends and outside of province /country travels)
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, customer focus, strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, set priorities, and achieve goals in a timely manner
  • Language: Proficiency in English

Desirable:

  • Experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Hematology (CML/PNH) experience
